Macaroni and Cheese

Ingredients

  • 4 cups cooked macaroni noodles (2 cups uncooked)
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 450 ml prepared Good Grow® Stage 3 Nutritional Toddler Drink, Milk Flavour (8 scoops mixed with 400ml of water)
  • 2 ½ cups grated cheddar cheese
  • ⅓ cup grated parmesan cheese (optional)
  • ¼ cup melted butter
  • ⅓ cup whole wheat panko breadcrumbs

Step by step

  1. Preheat oven to 350℉.
  2. Cook pasta as per package directions.
  3. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium low heat. Whisk in flour and cook for one minute or until the mixture starts browning. Gradually add

    Good Grow® and whisk until completely incorporated. Allow to cook 4-5 minutes whisking constantly until it coats the back of a spoon. Remove from the heat and stir in both types of cheese. 

  4. In a small bowl, combine the melted butter and panko bread crumbs.
  5. In a medium bowl, mix together the pasta and sauce. Put in a greased 8x8 oven-safe dish. Top with breadcrumbs and bake for approximately 20 minutes or until the pasta is heated through and the breadcrumbs are golden brown.

Tip:

This dish can be enjoyed by the whole family and the leftovers can be frozen into small batches up to 3 months. When using, allow to thaw in the fridge before reheating.

Note:

The cooking/baking process will inactivate the active probiotic cultures in Good Grow®.
