Pesto Pasta with Shrimp

  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 1 cup water
  • 4 scoops Good Grow® Nutritional Toddler Drink, Milk Flavour
  • 4 tbsp prepared pesto 
  • 3 grape tomatoes cut into age-appropriate sized pieces
  • 3 cooked shrimp, 31-40 count, cut into age-appropriate sized pieces
  • ¾ cup cooked fusilli pasta

Step by step

  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Add flour and gently stir until completely mixed. Cook for three minutes.
  2. Reduce heat and slowly add the water, whisking constantly until completely combined. Remove from heat and transfer to a bowl.
  3. Allow to cool below 38°C (approximately 40 minutes). Once sauce has cooled, add Good Grow® and pesto, and stir until smooth.
  4. In a bowl, combine ⅓ cup sauce, tomatoes, shrimp and pasta. Mix completely and serve.


  • Reserve extra sauce for up to 24 hours in the fridge.
  • If using store-bought pesto, don’t forget to check the ingredient list for allergens.


The cooking process will inactivate the active probiotic cultures in Good Grow®.
